The La Sardina Delaunay is a 35mm camera. It is a special edition of the La Sardina from Lomography. It was presented on 24.07.2019 and was created in collaboration with the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid, Spain.
The housing of the plastic camera is decorated with works by the artist Robert Delaunay. Robert Delaunay was a French painter. He painted in the style of Neo-Impressionism and is considered the main representative of Orphic Cubism.
The lens of the La Sardina Delaunay cannot be replaced. The focal length is fixed and is 22 mm. The maximum aperture is f/8 and the lens must be manually focused on the desired subject. The closest focusing distance of the lens is 60 cm.
The 35 mm camera does not have an exposure meter. It wouldn’t have to measure much anyway. The camera comes with only one shutter speed and a bulb mode.

Films for the La Sardina Delaunay
To take pictures with La Sardina Delaunay you need 35mm film. 35mm film is still easy to get and is developed by most photo labs. A nice film for color pictures is Kodak Gold 200* and for black and white pictures Kodak T-Max 100*.
Colour film is developed in the C-41 process. This is offered by almost every photo lab.
The negatives of La Sardina Delaunay are 24 mm x 36 mm. The film is transported on a wheel. At the end of the roll it has to be rewound by hand.
