The Halina 35-600 is a camera from Haking. It is a viewfinder camera. It is the successor of the Halina 500. The design of the camera is very clearly “inspired” by the Olympus Trip 35. The model was sold under different names in different countries.
The camera comes with a fixed lens. The designation “Halina Anastigmat 1:2.8 F=40MM” decorates the lens. The focal length is 40 mm. The largest aperture is f/2.8.
The 35mm camera has no autofocus. Therefore you have to focus by hand. The zone focus with small pictograms for the different distances helps here. The close-up limit is 80 cm.
The Halina 35-600 has a built-in light meter. It is designed for films from ISO 25 to ISO 400. The aperture can be freely selected.
An external flash light can be connected to the PC flash port or Hot Shoe for pictures. The 35mm camera has a thread for a tripod and cable release.
The camera requires a 1.35v PX625 mercury cell. Alternatively, a V625U cell (eBay / Amazon*) can be used. Better is probably the WeinCell replacement battery for PX625 (eBay / Amazon*).
Films for the Halina 35-600
The Halina 35-600 is a 35mm camera and needs 35mm film. 35mm films are still produced today. They can be developed in most photo laboratories. Possible films for the Halina 35-600 are the Agfaphoto Vista 200* for color pictures and the Ilford FP4 Plus* for black and white photos.
The colour film is a colour negative film and must be developed in the C-41 process. This development process is offered by most laboratories.
The negatives of Halina 35-600 have a size of 24 mm x 36 mm. With this exposure area, normally, a 35mm film (135-36) will fit at least 36 photos. The film must be winded manually by the photographer.
