The Fujifilm Instax Mini Disney Tsum Tsum is an instant camera. It was introduced in 2017. In terms of functionality, it is an entry-level model, like the Instax Mini 8. What makes it special is the shape of the housing. The design is round and features two Mickey Mouse ears.
The housing is predominantly pink and white. The front of the camera is round and has two large, pink ears reminiscent of Mickey Mouse. In the middle of the front there is a white circle with the lens and flash. In the corner the Tsum Tsum logo.
The model was presented in collaboration with Disney. There was also an edition of the color film with Disney Tsum Tsum motifs.
Camera functions
The camera exclusively uses Fujifilm Instax Mini Film (eBay / Amazon*), which produces an image size of 62mm x 46mm. The lens consists of two components and two elements with a focal length of 60mm and an aperture of f/12.7. The viewfinder is a real image viewfinder with a magnification of 0.37x and a target point. The camera can focus on subjects from a distance of 0.6 m.
The shutter speed is fixed at 1/60 second and the exposure is controlled manually via a switch, with an LED display in the light meter showing the correct setting. The film is automatically ejected and the development time is approximately 90 seconds, but may vary depending on the ambient temperature.
The camera has a built-in flash with automatic light adjustment and a recycling time of 0.2 to 6 seconds (when using new batteries). The effective flash range is 0.6 m to 2.7 m. It is powered by two AA alkaline batteries (eBay / Amazon*), which are sufficient for approx. 100 shots (approx. 10 Instax Mini 10-film packs). To save energy, the camera switches off automatically after 5 minutes.
Other features include an exposure counter that shows the number of unexposed films and a film pack confirmation window. The camera measures 197.4mm x 167.1mm x 71.5mm and weighs approximately 393g (excluding batteries, strap and film pack).
