The Cinestill 50 Daylight is a color negative film. It was introduced in October 2014 and is the third film from Cinestill.
Inside it is the Kodak 50D. Kodak VISION3 50D Color Negative Film 5203/7203, its full name.
Advertised by Kodak is its unsurpassed image quality, digital compatibility, unrivaled exposure latitude, and archival strength. It is also said to deliver the finest grain.
To make it easy for photographers to use, Cinestill has removed the so-called Rem-Jet coating. This allows it to be developed normally in the C-41 process, the standard development process for color negative film.
The Cinestill 50 Daylight, as the name implies, is designed for shooting in daylight (5500K) and should be exposed at ISO 50.
Currently, the film is only available for 35mm and medium format cameras.
