The CineStill 400Dynamic is a color negative film. It was presented in 2022. The project was financed via crowdfunding.
The 400Dynamic is designed for color photos and was probably developed for the production of motion pictures. The film’s nominal sensitivity is specified as ISO 400. However, it can also be exposed to ISO 200 to ISO 800.
Described as a fine-grained film, the CineStill 400D delivers a soft color palette with naturally saturated colors and rich, warm skin tones. It can be used indoors and outdoors.
Development of the film
Exposed film is developed using the C-41 process offered by many photo labs. Alternatively, you can develop yourself and thus have full control over the process by using the appropriate chemistry and accessories. The developed film strips contain the captured images.
Prints in various sizes can be offered directly as a service by many developing labs. An alternative is to digitize the negatives to allow further processing of the images. There is a wide range of equipment available for digitizing negatives, varying in features and quality, with suitable options for every budget.
The digitized results can be further processed in digital form. Of course, it is then also possible to print the images again, for example as a poster or photo book.
Formats
You can use the CineStill 400Dynamic in 35 mm and medium format cameras. Approximately 36 images fit on one roll of the 35mm film. You can use both films in a variety of camera models. There are great cameras for the films from the brands Yashica, Minolta, Olympus or Nikon.
