The Fujifilm Instax 210 is an instant camera. It is still manufactured, unlike the Polaroid cameras. The Instax 210 is the successor to the Instax 200 and has been on the market since 2009.

The Instax 210 is certainly not a compact camera. The dimensions are 178.5 x 117.5 x 94.5mm, this comes in part due to the size of the film format. While it is a real plastic bomber, it already weighs over 600 grams without everything. Its normal design is in black. The buttons and the display are on the left side. The display shows the rest of the shots.

In terms of functionality, it is very similar to the Instax 100 or Instax 200. The camera actually does most of the work itself.

It has a fixed focal length, so no zoom. Focusing is done with the buttons on the side from 0.90 m to infinity in two steps. With the close-up lens included in the scope of delivery, you can get as close as 45 centimeters to your subject.

The exposure meter in the camera selects the correct exposure on its own, but can be influenced with the chiaroscuro control. A flash is permanently installed in the instant camera. It fires depending on the lighting conditions, but can also be forced in backlit situations, for example, using the switch on the side.

Taking pictures with the Instax 210 is child's play. Find the subject, focus if necessary, aim at the subject, release the shutter and the picture comes driving out of the top of the camera. The instant picture is developed in just a few minutes. By the way, shaking the image does not shorten the time and can even have a negative effect. The subject is aimed with the built-in viewfinder on the side.

The 210 is loaded with Instax Wide Film*, which is still in production. This reliably delivers color images with good sharpness. The Instax Wide is the only option though, there are no other films available. A film cassette contains 10 images and costs around 10 euros, or 1 euro per image. An instant picture is 108 mm (W) by 86 (H) mm.

The camera is powered by four AA batteries (1.5V) (eBay / Amazon*), unlike Polaroid cameras where the battery is in the film pack. With one charge you can take about 100 pictures. It does not have a connection for a tripod. In addition to the camera, the package also includes a strap and a close-up lens.

Fujifilm Instax 210 Hello Kitty

In addition to the normal version, a special edition of the camera was later introduced. The Instax 210 Hello Kitty is an edition, as the name suggests, for fans of the Japanese cat. The camera is white and is decorated, among other things, with a small illustration of the Sanrio character. The model was introduced in 2013.
