Agfa CT Precisa 200

The Agfa CT Precisa 200, a special type of slide film, marked an important part in the world of photography in its time. This color film had a nominal sensitivity of ISO 200, which placed it in the middle range in terms of light sensitivity. Manufactured by the renowned Agfa company in Germany, it had the property of producing clear and richly colored slides that were particularly popular with amateurs looking for a reliable option to improve their photography skills.

It was characterized by its flexibility in development: traditionally it was developed using the E6 slide film process. This specialized development process resulted in the creation of slides upon completion which, if desired, could be projected onto a wall using a projector to share the captured moments on a larger scale. Another option available to users was cross-development. Here, the Agfa CT Precisa 200 could also be developed in the C-41 process, a method that is normally intended for negative film and that can produce further, often surprising and artistic results.

Unfortunately, production of this once popular film has now stopped. In addition to the 200 version, which had a wide following, there was also a variant with an ISO sensitivity of 100. This offered even finer grain and allowed photographers to create images with even greater sharpness and detail. The availability of these two variants gave photography enthusiasts the option to choose depending on the specific requirements of their project or aesthetic preferences.
