The Fujica DL-100 is a camera from Fuji. It was introduced by Fuji in 1983. The design of the camera was designed by Italian industrial designer Mario Bellini. The housing is made of plastic. The 35mm camera was also offered under the name “Fuji Auto Ace” in Japan. This model should not be confused with the Fujifilm DL-100 from 2002.
The lens of the Fujica DL-100 cannot be replaced. It has a fixed focal length of 38 mm and no zoom. The print “Fujinon f:2.8 f=38mm” is attached around the lens. The lens is focused by autofocus. The close-up limit is 90 cm.
An exposure meter has been installed in the Fujica DL-100. The built-in flash provides enough light. Depending on the sensitivity, the power can reach up to 6 meters.
Films for the Fujica DL-100
35mm films are still produced today. They can be developed in most photo laboratories. A great film choice for color photos is the Kodak Portra 160* and for black and white pictures the Ilford Delta 100*.
The color film is processed in the C-41 process. This development process is available at almost every photo lab.
The camera weighs 445 g and the dimensions are 12,95 x 7,95 x 5,8 cm. The camera needs two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*).
The Fujica DL-100 Date offers the same functions as the normal model, but also offers a possibility to imprint the date in the picture.
