Rollei AFM 35

The Rollei AFM 35 is a high-quality camera. It was presented by Rollei in the 2000s. It was produced by the Japanese company Fujifilm. They offered a similar model with the Fujifilm Class.

The 35mm photo camera comes with a fixed lens. The name of the lens is “S-Apogon 38 mm f/2.6 HFT.” The focal length is 38 mm and the widest aperture of the lens is f/2.6. Focusing is simplified by a built-in autofocus. However, there is also a manual mode. The closest focusing distance of the lens is 40 cm.

For measuring the exposure, the 35 mm camera has a light meter. It is designed for films from ISO 50 to ISO 3200. The film speed is read by the camera technology through the DX code on the film cartridge.

There is an auto flash, fill-in flash, red-eye prevention mode, slow sync mode with and without red-eye prevention. However, the flash can also be turned off.

Other features of the Rollei AFM 35 include a self-timer and the ability to bracket exposures. The exposure time can also be imprinted on the pictures. There is a thread for a tripod on the bottom of the housing.

According to the instruction manual, the Rollei AFM 35 requires 35mm films. These films are still being manufactured and can be specified from almost any developing vendor. Both films give solid results with the camera and can be used in many situations

The Rollei AFM 35 negatives are 24mm x 36mm in size. The film advance is automatic and is activated after each shot. The photographer does not have to advance it.
