The Polaroid Supercolor 635 is an instant camera. The features are identical to the Polaroid One Step Flash.
However, it is slightly different in appearance. The front, which you can see when the camera is opened, is gray-silver, the rest of the camera is black. In addition, the Supercolor 635 is adorned with a rainbow stripe.
The Polaroid camera is easy to use for beginners, as it has a straightforward mode of operation. Instructions are practically not needed, since all you have to do is aim at the subject and press the shutter button to take a picture. The instant camera then produces the image automatically and instantly, allowing you to see the result right away.
The Supercolor 635 instant camera is equipped with a built-in flash that provides sufficient exposure. However, the camera does not have a tripod thread, which makes it difficult to use a tripod. Nevertheless, the camera’s ease of use and good image quality make it particularly suitable for snapshots and spontaneous shots indoors or in low light.
The Polaroid Supercolor 635 requires Polaroid 600 film. Polaroid no longer makes instant film for this format. However, The Impossible Project is producing suitable films for the Polaroid Supercolor 635 again, and they will be sold under the original brand again. Currently, the Polaroid Color Film for 600* and the Polaroid B&W Film for 600* are the best choice.
The battery for the instant camera and built-in flash is located in the film cassette, so it is renewed every time the film is changed.
The Polaroid Supercolor 635 CL
The CL version of the instant camera is virtually identical to the 635, but comes with an additional close-up lens. This allows pictures to be taken at a distance of 0.6 to 1.2 meters from the subject.
