The Polaroid Sun 600 LMS is a camera. The instant camera is designed for the Polaroid 600 format.
The body of the camera is gray silver and black. In terms of functions, it is identical to the Polaroid One Step Flash.
Films for the Polaroid Sun 600 LMS
Of course, instant film is also needed for the camera. The photo pioneer Polaroid no longer produces the original film material. A Dutch company develops and manufactures suitable films for the 600 format again. There is a color and a black-and-white film for the 600 format. The suitable color film is the Polaroid Color Film for 600*. Many great black and white images are possible with the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. Both films can deliver good results in tests.
You can find eight photos in a box. The film material is very sensitive to light. Therefore, it should not come into contact with light outside the camera. The unexposed films should not be stored in the sun or in a humid place. According to the standard, a picture measures 10.8 x 8.8 cm. The actual image is square and 7.7 by 7.7 cm. The remaining area is filled by a white area. Also available are editions of Polaroid film with colorful frames. Not compatible with the Polaroid camera are Fujifilm instant films.
Batteries
What kind of batteries do you need for the Polaroid Sun 600 LMS? With this type of camera, the power source is found inside the film cassette. It supplies power to the camera technology and the flash. So replacing the film also serves as replacing the power source. There is no need for another separate battery for the instant camera. If the camera has been stored for an extended period of time, such as in the basement, the battery in the film cassette may have self-discharged. As a result, the camera will no longer function. The solution is to replace the inserted film with new material with a fresh battery.
Instructions for the Polaroid Sun 600 LMS
How to take pictures with the instant camera? An introductory guide to using the instant camera. The first operation is to load the instant film. To do this, slide the slider forward on the side to open the film door. The film cassette is then inserted. Then the flap can be closed again. The camera now directly removes the protective film of the film. In the next step, you can take pictures with the camera. By pressing the shutter release button on the side, the picture is taken. The motor in the camera now ejects the image and development begins. After a few minutes, the development process is complete and you can view the image.
Alternative options
If you can’t locate the camera, you can opt for alternatives. Possibilities would include the Polaroid 600 Business Edition* and Polaroid OneStep Autofocus*. These are models with a comparable feature set. They are also designed for the 600 instant format. A new angle is brought by other camera manufacturers. Two potential choices are the Instax Mini 8* and LomoInstant Wide*. The matching film stock is also still being manufactured.
