The Polaroid Street Pro 2000 is an instant camera. It is identical to the Polaroid One Step (rounded corners) in terms of the range of functions it offers. Today, of course, this camera is no longer manufactured.

The Polaroid Street Pro 2000 is very user-friendly. Many setting options found on other types of cameras have been omitted. The ease of use allows for a low barrier to entry and thus many possibilities for areas of application. A suitable event for camera use is, for example, a wedding or other celebration. However, it can also be a lot of fun on vacation.

The most important settings are fixed on the camera. The exposure time cannot be changed. You can’t choose the aperture value yourself either. The lens is fixed and cannot be changed. There is no zoom function on this model. To zoom, you have to get closer to the subject. The distance to the subject should not be less than 60 cm for sharp pictures when using the built-in close-up lens.

Of course, the camera must not be without a built-in flash. The flash fires automatically. Since the camera needs a lot of light due to the small aperture, the flash comes to the rescue in many cases. One looks for a self-timer in vain.

Films for the Polaroid Street Pro 2000

Extremely significant for the photo camera are the appropriate photo films. Due to various circumstances, the American company Polaroid has ceased film production. However, films are being produced again under the same brand name.

Easy to obtain online are a color instant film and a black and white film. For color photos with the camera, there is the Polaroid Color Film for 600*. Black and white photography is possible with the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. In test reports, the films usually get a good rating.

The contents of one pack are eight images. Since the film material is sensitive to light, it must not come into contact with it outside the camera. For the storage of unexposed film material, one should look for a storage place that is as cool and dry as possible.

One image has a size of 10.8 x 8.8 cm. The captured photo is square and measures 7.7 by 7.7 cm. The remaining space is filled by the familiar frame around the Polaroid picture. Different editions of Polaroid films also have colorful frames.

Can Fujifilm films be used with the instant camera? No, the Instax films cannot be used with the camera.

Batteries

What kind of batteries are needed for the Polaroid Street Pro 2000? With this type of camera, you can find the battery in the cassette along with the unexposed images. The disposable battery is sufficient for all unexposed images in the cassette. Even when using the flash for each exposure. So replacing the film also serves as replacing the power source. Additional batteries are not needed for the camera.

The film cassette, because of the battery, should not be thrown into the normal household waste if possible. The battery can be removed from the cassette and then taken to a local recycling center.

How to take instant pictures with the instant camera? A little guide on how to use the camera.

The first step is to load the instant film. To do this, push the small slider on the side forward. This opens the film door. The film cassette is inserted and the flap is closed again. The camera now removes the protective film from the film.

The camera is now ready to take pictures. The release button is located on the side of the housing. The camera transports the image from the film cassette and the development of the image begins. The development process is quickly finished after a waiting period and you can take a closer look at the final result.

Similar models

If you can’t find the camera, you can move on to other options. One option that comes to mind first is the original model, the Polaroid One Step (rounded corners). It offers the same features and needs the same films.

There are also other alternatives to Polaroid cameras. Here, for example, there are the Instax Wide 300* and Instax Mini 8*. Suitable film material is also still produced for both cameras.
