The Polaroid Spirit Henkell is an instant camera. It was introduced to the public in the 1980s. The functions of the model are the same as the Polaroid OneStep 600, and it was designed in collaboration with Henkell. On the camera there is a sticker with the logo of the sparkling wine producer.

The Polaroid Spirit Henkell impresses with its ease of use. If you are used to many settings on your camera, you won’t find them on this model. Thanks to this low entry threshold, the camera can be used by anyone and is therefore suitable for many occasions. For example, it is an excellent choice for parties and weddings. However, it can also be a lot of fun on vacation.

The basic photo settings cannot be changed. Free setting of shutter speeds and aperture is not provided. It is not possible to change the lens. It has a fixed focal length. The model does not have a zoom function. A minimum distance of 120 cm is necessary for sharp images.

Indoors it is possible to connect a flash bar to the camera. It is not possible to attach the camera to a normal tripod through a thread. You have to do without a self-timer for selfies and group pictures.

Films for the Polaroid Spirit Henkell

Essential for taking pictures with the camera are the appropriate instant films. The camera manufacturer, Polaroid, has ceased production. Replacements for the old films can be obtained from a company in the Netherlands.

There is a matching color film and a black and white film for the camera. The Polaroid Color Film for 600* is the film for color photos. If you prefer to take monochrome pictures, you can use the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. They can do well in many tests.

Eight pictures are possible with one pack. Exposure to light outside the camera can destroy unexposed film stock. For storing unexposed film material, you should find a cool and dry place.

According to the specification of the standard, a picture is 10.8 x 8.8 cm. An area of 7.7 by 7.7 cm contains the captured image. The remaining area of the Polaroid picture is white. However, there are also editions with colorful frames.

Do the instant films from Fujifilm fit the Polaroid camera? No, the Instax instant films cannot be used.

Batteries

What kind of batteries do you need for the Polaroid Spirit Henkell? In this type of camera, you can find the battery in the plastic case. So changing the film is also changing the battery. Another battery is not required for the instant camera.

If the camera with film inside has not been used for a long period of time, this can cause the battery to self-discharge. Consequently, the camera will no longer work. The solution is simply a film with a new battery. There is no need to repair it.
