Polaroid One600 JobPro

The Polaroid One600 JobPro is a camera from Polaroid. It was presented to the public in the early 2000s. The model is part of the last generation of Polaroid 600 cameras. The design of the camera is yellow, silver and black. The surface of the body is rubberized to a large extent.

The Polaroid One600 JobPro is very user-friendly. It was designed without most of the adjustment options found on other types of cameras. Thanks to its simplicity, it can be used for many occasions. For example, it is a good choice for parties and weddings. It is also a lot of fun to use on vacation.

The lens has a fixed focal length and cannot be replaced. The model does not have a zoom function. A minimum distance of 60 cm from the subject should be maintained for sharp pictures.

There is no setting option for aperture or shutter speed. Instead, there is a slider for changing the overall exposure. Here you can choose between bright, normal and dark.

An integrated flash is of course also available on this model. The flash fires automatically and has a range of 3 meters. This is especially useful for indoor shots, as the camera needs a lot of light for clear pictures.

The flash, when shooting portraits, can be used in a red-eye prevention mode. The button for this mode is found on the back of the camera.

The button for the self-timer is also found there. In this mode, the camera automatically takes a picture after twelve seconds. For this mode, the camera can be attached to a tripod if desired.

A display shows the remaining number of possible pictures, among other things. The camera is switched on by opening it with a press of the button on the back. It is turned off by closing it.

Films for the Polaroid One600 JobPro

If you want to use the photo camera, you need the instant films that go with it. The manufacturer of the camera, the American company Polaroid, has ceased production. Since 2010, a new company again provides the appropriate film material. It is not possible to use Fujifilm’s instant films.

There are black and white and color films for the 600 format. One option for color photos is the Polaroid Color Film for 600*. If you prefer to take monochrome pictures, you can use the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*. How do the films perform in tests? Both films can convince in many situations.

One pack is enough for eight pictures. Because of the film material’s sensitivity to light, it should not come into contact with it outside the camera. For storing the unused material, one should find a place with cool and dark characteristics.

An instant film has a size of 10,8 x 8,8 cm. The 600 cameras produce square images with a dimension of 7.7 by 7.7 cm. The remaining area of the Polaroid image is white. Various editions of Polaroid films also have colorful frames.

Batteries

What kind of batteries do you need for the Polaroid camera? In this type of camera, the power source is found in the cassette along with the unexposed pictures. It supplies power to the camera technology and flash. So changing the film also represents changing the battery. This is the only battery needed for the camera.

The disposable battery does not belong in the household trash along with the film cassette. The battery should be recycled properly.
