The Polaroid Job Pro 2 is a camera for the 600 instant format. It is already the second Job Pro. The main thing that has changed is the shape of the housing, which is the same as the Polaroid One Step (rounded corners).
The housing of the instant camera is usually mainly black, while the front is designed in bright yellow. This colour scheme makes the camera eye-catching and easy to recognise.
The built-in flash and light meter are powered by a battery in the film pack, which is firmly integrated into the plastic cassette. This avoids the camera being burdened by a separate power source.
An additional power source is not needed for the instant camera, as the required power is provided by the integrated battery in the film pack. This facilitates the use of the camera and makes it particularly practical when travelling.
The films needed for the Job Pro 2 are no longer produced by Polaroid. However, the 600 films, e.g. the Polaroid B&W Film for 600* or the Polaroid Color Film for 600*, from Impossible can be exposed in the camera. Since 2020, they have been sold again under the original brand name. One pack contains eight exposures. Polaroid’s original films had ten frames in a film cassette.
As the film material is sensitive to light, it must not come into contact with it outside the camera. A cool and dry place for storing the unused film material is optimal. According to the standard, a picture measures 10.8 x 8.8 cm. The recorded image takes up an area of 7.7 by 7.7 cm. The remaining surface of the picture is white. There are also editions of Polaroid films with coloured frames. Are the Instax films compatible? No, the Fuji films do not fit the Polaroid camera.
Polaroid Job Pro 2 Business Edition 2
In terms of functions, the Polaroid Job Pro 2 Business Edition 2 is identical, only the amount of yellow in the design is slightly less.
