The Polaroid Go Color Film Double Pack – Gradient Frames is a variant of the compact Polaroid Go instant film. Available in the official Polaroid shop for €21.99, it differs from the standard version thanks to its colorful frame design. This edition was introduced in March 2026.

The Polaroid Go Format

This film represents the smallest format in the analog Polaroid instant film system and was designed for use with the Polaroid Go camera. The film’s chemical components are manufactured at the remaining Polaroid film factory in Enschede, Netherlands. Thanks to their dimensions, the small square prints are easy to carry and fit, for example, into wallets or behind transparent smartphone cases.

One pack contains a total of 16 color photos, split across two film cartridges holding eight shots each. The cartridge must be changed after the first one is used up.

The unique feature of this edition is the frame design, which replaces the classic white border with a continuous color gradient. Since the gradient extends across the images, the design of each frame differs slightly from the others.

The film has a light sensitivity of ASA 640. The film cartridge does not require its own battery, as it is powered by the camera’s rechargeable battery. The physical dimensions of the film are 66.6 mm x 53.9 mm, while the actual exposed image area measures 47.0 mm x 46.0 mm.

Cameras for the Film Format

The film is compatible exclusively with cameras in the Polaroid Go series, which includes the first generation as well as the Polaroid Go Gen 2 and Gen 3 models. Due to its specific format, this film cannot be used in older vintage cameras (such as the Polaroid 600 or SX-70), i-Type cameras, or devices from other manufacturers, such as Fujifilm Instax Mini systems.

After the shutter is released, the exposed image is mechanically ejected. To protect the film from direct light, the camera is equipped with a protective film. The chemical development process begins immediately after ejection and takes approximately 10 to 15 minutes. During this phase, the image should be kept flat and shielded from direct light, and should not be bent or shaken.

Additionally, the developed images can be scanned using the official Polaroid app for iOS and Android via your mobile phone’s camera. This allows for the digital archiving and sharing of the images.
