The Polaroid Go film format is an innovation that has turned the world of instant photography on its head. When Polaroid introduced the Polaroid Go camera in 2021, it was not only a new camera, but also the birth of a completely new film format. The Polaroid Go Film is the smallest instant photo format that Polaroid currently offers and fits perfectly with the compact and handy Polaroid Go camera.
The history of Polaroid Go film is closely linked to the development of the Polaroid Go camera. Polaroid wanted to create a camera that was even smaller and more portable than their previous models, without compromising on image quality. The result was the Polaroid Go, a camera that fits into almost any camera bag while still delivering Polaroid’s signature instant photo aesthetic.
To realize this vision, Polaroid had to develop a new film format that would fit the camera’s compact dimensions. The Polaroid Go Film is about half the size of the i-Type film used in other Polaroid cameras. Despite its small size, the Polaroid Go Film delivers crisp and colorful images with the classic white Polaroid frame.
The Polaroid Go Film is available in twin packs, each containing 16 images. It is a color film with a sensitivity of ISO 640 and a development time of around 10-15 minutes. The film format was developed specifically for the Polaroid Go camera and cannot be used in other Polaroid cameras.
The introduction of the Polaroid Go film format has expanded the possibilities of instant photography. Thanks to its compact size and easy handling, photographers can express their creativity anywhere. Whether traveling, at events or simply in everyday life – the Polaroid Go Film makes it possible to capture and share special moments immediately.
