The Polaroid Amigo 610 is an instant camera. It is identical to the Polaroid OneStep 600 in terms of functionality, but the difference is that it is not black, but beige.
Its successor, the Amigo 620, comes with a close-up lens.
Like the Polaroid OneStep 600, the Amigo 610 requires Type 600 instant film. These are being recovered by The Impossible Project. They will be sold again under the original brand. Suitable for the Amigo 610 are for example the Polaroid Color Film for 600* and the Polaroid B&W Film for 600*.
Batteries
Are batteries necessary for the Polaroid camera? The cassette contains not only unexposed film material, but also a battery that powers the camera with flash. Since changing the film also means changing the battery, no additional battery purchase is necessary. However, it is possible that the battery in the film cassette will discharge on its own if the camera has been stored for a long period of time, e.g. in the basement. Without sufficient power, of course, the camera will not function. In this case, simply remove the photo film and replace it with new film stock with a fresh battery.
Manual for the Polaroid Amigo 610
How to take photos with the instant camera? A quick guide to taking photos with the Polaroid instant camera. The first step is to load the film. The film door opens by pressing the slider on the side of the housing. The film cassette is inserted and the flap is closed again. The protective plastic film of the film is automatically ejected. Now you can take pictures with the camera. On the side of the housing you will find the release button. The motor in the camera now ejects the image and development begins. After the development process of the instant photo is completed after a few minutes, the photo can be inspected closely.
