The Polaroid Quick 610 is an instant camera. It is designed for Polaroid’s 600 format.
The functions are identical to the Polaroid OneStep 600, but since the exterior of the plastic camera is not black, but beige, as with the Amigo 610.
Films for the camera
Films are produced again for them. You can use the Polaroid Color Film for 600* or the Polaroid B&W Film for 600* in the Polaroid Quick 610. They are manufactured in the Netherlands and have been sold with the original logo again since 2020. There are eight pictures in a pack. Previously, cassettes with ten pictures were sold.
Since the film material is sensitive to light, it must not come into contact with it outside the camera. For the storage of unexposed film material, one should look for a cool and dry place. The size, 10.8 x 8.8 cm, of an image has not changed over the decades. The 600 cameras take square pictures measuring 7.7 by 7.7 cm. The remaining area of the Polaroid picture is white. Editions with multi-coloured frames are also available.
The inexpensive Instax films are not compatible with the Polaroid Quick 610.
The battery is located in the film cassette with the unexposed images. An additional power source is not needed to use the camera. The battery for the instant camera is replaced with each film change.
Similar models
If you can’t find the camera, it is advisable to turn to other options. Two great options would be the Polaroid Spirit 600 CL* and Polaroid 636 Closeup*. These models offer comparable features. They are also suitable for the 600 format. A new angle is brought by other camera manufacturers. Outside the Polaroid world, for example, you will find the LomoInstant Square* and Instax Mini 9*. The matching film material is also still being produced.
