The Photodom SMILE is a color negative film. The film is sold under the brand “Photodom”. This is the private label of a photo retailer based in Brooklyn, New York.
The photographic film is an effect film. Smileys were exposed by Photodom at various points on the color film. These then appear on the own pictures.
The manufacturer specifies a sensitivity of ISO 100. It is thus well suited for shots with a lot of light, such as shots in the studio or on a sunny day.
Development of the film
The film is developed using the C-41 process. The development is offered by many photo labs. This development process is standardized. If you want, you can also develop the color film yourself. The necessary photochemistry for this can be ordered on the Internet.
Formats
The SMILE can be purchased only for 35 mm cameras. As a rule, 36 photos fit on a roll of film. The 35mm cartridge does not have DX encoding.
