Petri MF-104

The Petri MF-104 is a reflex camera. The 35mm camera was built by Cosina for Petri. The Petri MF-104 was also sold under the name “Cosina CT-4”.

The lenses of the Petri MF-104 are interchangeable. Lenses can be used with a Pentax K bayonet. The lens is focused manually. The Petri MF-104 does not have an autofocus.

Photography is facilitated by the built-in exposure meter. It can be used with films from ISO 25 to ISO 3200. The exposure meter is designed to measure exposure through the lens of the camera.

The exposure time is set automatically by the 35mm camera, the aperture is selected by the photographer. The shutter speed and aperture can also be selected individually by the photographer. The 35 mm camera comes with a Bulb setting option. Hot Shoe flashes can be used with the Petri MF-104. There is also a PC flash socket.

Films for the Petri MF-104

The Petri MF-104 needs photo film, more precisely 35mm film. 35mm films are still easy to get today and are developed by most photo laboratories. Possible films for the model are the Agfaphoto Vista 200* and the Kodak TRI-X 400*.

The color negative film is developed in the C-41 development process. This development process is available at almost every photo lab.

The negatives of camera have a size of 24 mm x 36 mm. When the exposure area is this size, 36 photos usually fit on a normal film (135-36). The photographer must manually wind to the next image.

The 35mm SLR has a self-timer and tripod thread. The dimensions of the 35mm camera are 13,5 x 8,5 x 4,8 cm. The weight of it is 530 g. The power supply for the 35mm camera is provided by two LR44 batteries (eBay / Amazon*).

The Petri MF-104 can today only found in used condition. Depending on the state of the camera, the price for a used copy vary.
