Perutz Primera 400

The Perutz Primera 400 is a color negative film. It was offered by Perutz. The cartridge contains an Agfa Vista 400.

The nominal speed of the color negative film is given as ISO 400. It is designed for color images. The film should be slightly overexposed today. The reason for this is that films lose sensitivity over the years. The film is designed for daylight shooting.

Development

Perutz Primera 400 must be developed using the C-41 process. This development process is standardized. As a result, it is offered by almost all photo labs. The color negative film can be handed in for development at Rossmann or DM-Markt, for example. With the appropriate chemistry, it can also be developed at home.

Formats

The Perutz Primera 400 was manufactured for the 35mm format. The color negative film is no longer in production. The Kodak Ultramax 400* is a possible replacement. With this, solid color images are possible in a 35mm camera. After exposure, the film is also processed in the C-41 process.

Storage

For long-term storage of unexposed analog film, external conditions are of great importance to avoid alteration of image quality. High temperatures and humidity can have a negative effect on the film material.

It is recommended to store the films in a dry, dark and cool place. If you want to store the films for a longer period of time, you can freeze them in the freezer to preserve the image quality, even if the best-before date has already passed. Care should be taken to seal the film rolls airtight to avoid moisture.

Exposed films should ideally be developed immediately to avoid possible deterioration of image quality.
