The Nolan C400D is a color negative film. The Nolan brand is used for distribution, named after the well-known director. A supplier from China is probably behind this.
The film material in the 35mm film cartridge comes from the renowned manufacturer Kodak, not from Nolan. Specifically, it is the Kodak VISION3 250D, a film that was originally developed for the production of cinema films. This film material is converted to cartridges for use in 35mm cameras.
The Kodak VISION3 250D is actually intended for development in the ECN-2 process. However, the Nolan C400D has had its Remjet layer removed so that it can easily be developed in the conventional C-41 process.
