The Lomochrome Metropolis is a color negative film. The film is produced on behalf of Lomography. It was presented to the world public on 16.07.2019. The film was first sold via Kickstarter. The project for the Lomochrome is the 11th Kickstarter project of Lomography.
The Lomochrome Metropolis is a film for color photos. It is characterized by its strong color shifts. Mostly the colors are very cool and, depending on the motive and light, the pictures almost go into monochrome.
ISO 100 is the indicated sensitivity of the material. However, according to the manufacturer, it can also be exposed in a range from ISO 100 to ISO 400.
This sensitivity is good for taking pictures on a sunny day. It is designed for shots at a light temperature of 5500 Kelvin.
Development of the film
Once exposed, the film must be developed in the C-41 development process. The C-41 color negative process is standardised. Therefore, development in the photo lab is easily possible.
Formats
You can expose the Lomochrome Metropolis in 35mm and medium format cameras. But it is also available for pocket film cameras and for filmmakers in 16mm format. At the moment the film is not available as flat film for large format cameras.
