The KONO! Monolit 3 is a black and white film. The film is distributed by Manufaktur UG & Co. KG from the German city of Bornheim. The material is produced in technical cooperation with Svema.
The KONO! Monolit 3 in combination with a suitable camera enables the creation of monochrome images. It belongs to the genre of orthochromatic films.
The film speed is ISO 3, which is of course remarkably low, so the film is not particularly suitable for fast snapshots. On the other hand, it is of course very suitable for taking pictures of buildings or landscapes, especially because of the strong contrasts. A tripod and a fast lens are of course strongly advantageous
Development of the film
Unlike color negative film, there is no standardized development process for the KONO! Monolit 3 there is no standardized development process. It must be developed in a black-and-white developer. Black and white development can be done at home with the proper equipment and chemistry. However, it is also possible to take the film to a developing lab. The finished negatives can then be scanned and printed, for example.
