The Kodak Ektachrome E100VS is a slide film. It is designed for daylight photography, was introduced in 1999 and has a sensitivity of ISO 100. The “VS” in its name stands for vivid saturated, which is also the program for this film.
The Kodak Ektachrome E100VS is equipped with Kodak’s T-crystal technology, this is supposed to provide a fine grain and high sharpness. Development is done in the E6 slide film development process; cross development in the C-41 process is also possible.
Production of the Kodak Ektachrome E100VS was discontinued by Kodak. When it was still available, it could be purchased for 35mm, medium format and large format cameras. The roll film was available as 120 and 220; the sheet film as 4×5″ and 8×10″.
