Fujifilm Instax Mini 10

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 10 is an instant camera. It was manufactured by Fujifilm and presented in the 90s. The camera model was available in different colors and editions. For example, there was a Hello Kitty Edition and models in collaboration with the toy company Takara.

The lens of the Fujifilm Instax Mini 10 is not interchangeable. The lens has the name “Fujinon Lens”. The largest aperture of the lens is f/12.3 and the focal length is 60 mm. The Fujifilm Instax Mini 10 does not have an autofocus function. The focus is adjusted manually in two steps. To get sharp photos, you should be at least 60 cm away from your subject.

Films for the Fujifilm Instax Mini 10

The Fujifilm Instax Mini 10 is designed for the Instax Mini format. Fujifilm produces films for this instant image format. The current color films is the Instax Mini Film*.

The Instax Mini format is the smallest instant film format on the market. One image measures 86 x 54 mm. The actual image takes up an area of 6.2 x 4.6 cm. An EC card is about the same size as an Instax Mini image.

The instant images are stored in a special film cassette. The cassette is placed in the camera as a whole. 10 images are contained in one cassette. When the frame counter displays “0”, the cassette must be removed. The cost of one frame is approximately 70 cents.

After pressing the shutter button and making the exposure, the camera will eject the image. The developing time is only a few minutes. The image quality is not bad for an instant camera. With pens and stickers you can decorate the white frame around the pictures.
For fans of black and white pictures there is the Instax Mini Monochrome*. The color film is available in different editions with colorful frames. A good application for the Instax Mini format are weddings and scrapbooking.
