The Fujifilm Fujicolor True Definition 400 is a color negative film. The production of the film was discontinued. It was made for 35mm cameras at the time. It was available as a 24-frame film.
The color film was designed for daylight photography. For this purpose, 4th Color Layer Technology and Super Fine-Σ (Sigma) Grain Technology were used. This should allow for smooth gradation, natural skin tones and good sharpness. It was cast on an acetate base.
The True Definition 400 must be developed using the C-41 process. This development process is offered by most labs. The cost of development today is in the single-digit euro range for a roll of film.
As an alternative to this film, one can reach for the Kodak Ultramax 400*.
