Fujifilm Fujicolor Press 800

The Fujifilm Fujicolor Press 800 is a color negative film. It was offered by Fujifilm alongside the Press 400 and Press 1600. Today, all three films are no longer in production.

As you can infer from names, Fujifilm Fujicolor Press 800 was aimed at photographers who worked for newspapers, magazines and other media. Due to its high sensitivity, ISO 800, it was supposed to allow shooting in available light, indoors, at dusk, and of athletes in action.

Thanks to the 4-color layer technology, photos under artificial light conditions should not be a problem. The full film was developed using the C-41 color negative process or the CN 16 process, Fujifilm’s equivalent.

The Fujifilm Fujicolor Press 800 has not been manufactured by Fujifilm for a long time. When it was still available, 35mm film could be purchased in packs of 20 cartridges, each containing 36 images. An alternative to the Press 800 that is still available today would be Fujifilm’s Superia 800.
