Fisheye One The Gatsby

The Fisheye One The Gatsby is a special edition of the 35mm fisheye camera from Lomography. This edition is sold exclusively by Urban Outfitters.

The design of the camera is black and white. The stripe, typical for the Fisheye One, is black and a bit roughened.

In terms of functionality, it is identical to the normal Fisheye One.

Features

The Fisheye One The Gatsby has a plastic body, making it lightweight and easy to carry. The focal length of 10mm and maximum aperture of f/8 allow for an extremely wide angle of view and capturing a large amount of detail in a single image. The close focus distance of 10 cm provides an interesting perspective and allows for creative close-up photography.

This camera does not have a light meter, and all exposure settings are fixed, including focus. The shutter speed of 1/100 sec ensures that the camera captures a clear and sharp image even in low light conditions.

The built-in flash on this camera can be turned on if desired, and an LED light on the back indicates flash readiness. The flash sync time is 1/100 sec. The camera does not have a tripod mount or cable release thread, and no self-timer function is available.

Power for this camera is supplied by one AA battery (eBay / Amazon*). The batteries are only needed for the flash, the other camera functions are mechanical. The Fisheye One is manufactured in China.

This camera can be used with accessories such as an underwater housing that allows for creative underwater photography.

Films for the Fisheye One The Gatsby

The Fisheye One uses 35mm film, and film advance is manual with a thumbwheel on the back. A window on the back allows the user to see the film loaded.

The use of Fujifilm Superia 400* is recommended for color images with this camera, while the use of Ilford HP5* is recommended for B&W images. A manageable number of manufacturers also offer film for this format. Films with a high sensitivity and wide exposure latitude are best suited for the camera.
