Feature Overview

The Fisheye One Red is a unique and fun camera designed specifically for capturing wide-angle and distorted images. Its distinctive fisheye lens has a focal length of 10mm and a maximum aperture of f/8. The body is made of lightweight plastic, which makes the camera very portable.

A particularly noteworthy feature of this camera is its close focus distance of only 10 cm, which allows you to get very close to the subject. The camera has a fixed focus and the shutter speed is set to 1/100s, which is suitable for most lighting conditions. Indoors or in the evening, it’s better to use the camera with flash unless you’re using a very high-sensitivity flash.

In addition to the built-in flash, which can be activated at the touch of a button, the Fisheye One Red has an LED indicator on the back that shows flash readiness. The flash sync time is synchronized to 1/100s.

Battery

The camera is powered by one AA battery (eBay / Amazon*), which is needed only for the flash. All other functions of the camera are mechanical.

The camera is manufactured in China and as an additional accessory, there is an underwater housing that allows you to take pictures underwater.

The manual film advance function is done via a thumbwheel on the back of the camera. Through a window on the back, you can see the film loaded. On the top of the camera you can read the remaining or already used shots.

Films for the Lomography Fisheye One Red

The Fisheye One Red needs 35mm film. Films are still produced for this format. Films with a high sensitivity are best. This is the best way to be prepared for everyday use.

For black and white images in 35mm format, Ilford Delta 400* is a good choice. For color images with the Lomography camera, you can reach for the Kodak Ultramax 400*. Both films can of course be developed by most photo labs.
