FilmNeverDie is a Melbourne, Australia-based brand specializing in the distribution of analog films. The company does not produce the films itself, but works with various manufacturers to offer a wide range of film materials.
Info and areas of application
The FilmNeverDie KIRO 400 is a color negative film with a sensitivity of ISO 400. Suitable for a wide range of applications, both outdoors and indoors, it delivers vibrant colors with a warm, yellowish tone.
The name “Kiro” is a word from the Japanese language. You can translate it as “yellow.”
The film is versatile and can be used for different genres such as street photography, portraits, landscapes or experimental photography.
Formats and cameras
The KIRO 400 is available in 35mm format and can be used in most analogue cameras that support this format. These include single lens reflex cameras (SLR) as well as viewfinder cameras, rangefinder cameras and many compact cameras.
The film cartridge is delivered in specially designed packaging. The design was conceived by Edmun Li from Malaysia. A roll was sold for around 14 euros.
Development and digitalization
The FilmNeverThe KIRO 400 is developed using the C-41 process, a common process for color negative films. Developing can be done at most photo labs that offer this service. Once developed, the negatives can be scanned or digitized to create digital copies of the photos.
Storage of film material
As with all films, it is recommended that you store the KIRO 400 in a cool and dry place to preserve the quality of the film material. Ideally, the film should be stored in the refrigerator, especially if stored for a long period of time.
Alternative
There is no direct alternative for the film. If you are looking for an ISO 400 film, you can use Kodak Ultramax 400*. This film is still easy to get and delivers solid results.
