FilmNeverDie is a brand from Melbourne, Australia that specializes in analogue photography. The company distributes its own films, including the SUIBO 500T, but does not produce them itself.
FilmNeverDie has made a name for itself in the analogue photography community and, in addition to films, also offers cameras, accessories and development services.
Info and areas of application
The FilmNeverThe SUIBO 500T is an ECN-2 film that is made from material for cinema film production. This gives the recordings a special, cinematic character. The material was probably produced by Kodak in the USA:
With a sensitivity of ISO 500, the film is primarily designed for shooting under artificial lighting, such as fluorescent lighting, and produces cooler tones. Due to its characteristics, the SUIBO 500T is particularly suitable for creative projects, street photography and experimental photography.
Formats and cameras
The film is offered in the standard 35mm format (35mm) with 36 exposures. It is DX coded so the ISO setting is automatically recognized by compatible cameras. The film can be used in a variety of analog cameras including SLRs, rangefinder cameras and compact cameras.
The packaging design was created by Edmund Li from Malaysia. The name Suibo is Japanese and means “jellyfish”.
Development and digitalization
The development of the SUIBO 500T takes place in the special ECN-2 process, which differs from the conventional C-41 process. Due to the Remjet coating, the film cannot be processed in a standard processing laboratory. FilmNeverDie itself offers development services for ECN-2 films, as do many specialized photo laboratories. Once developed, the negatives can be digitized for further editing and sharing.
Storage of film material
Like all films, FilmNeverDie SUIBO 500T should be stored in a cool and dry place to ensure optimal quality and durability. Ideally it is stored in the fridge but should be brought to room temperature before use to avoid condensation.
