The DM Paradies 200 is a color negative film. It is sold by DM-Markt, a drugstore chain in Germany, and has a sensitivity of ISO 200.
Like most drugstore brand films, the Paradies 200 is available at an unbeatable price. It is also only available as 35mm film. The country of manufacture is USA, indicating Kodak as the producer of the film.
The DM Paradies 200 is a standard film for everyday use. It delivers solid and reliable images without big surprises.
With ISO 200, it is suitable for both cloudy and sunny days. For toy cameras, however, you should go for the DM Paradies 400. Of course, this depends on the camera, the aperture and the weather.
Among other things, it is available in a stock pack with 4 rolls of the film.
Development of the film
The film must be developed in the C-41 process. The development of color negative film is offered by most photo labs in Germany. The color negative process is standardized. With the appropriate photochemistry, home development is also possible. The costs for pure development are often in the range of two and five euros. Prints, if no scanner is available, of course, hit additional.
Update #1
In the meantime, as of June 2013, the DM Paradies 200 no longer comes from the USA, but from Asia. It is very likely identical to the Müller Foto 200, so it is a Fujifilm film. Also, it comes in a pack of three.
Update #2
In the meantime, the film has been completely removed from the range.
Alternatives
The DM Paradies 200 is no longer in new production. A possible alternative for 35mm film is the Kodak Gold 200*.
