The Carena BF-35 is a snapshot camera. It was sold by Photo Porst in the 90s. The large viewfinder sold it mainly to spectacle wearers, children and senior citizens. Some time later followed with the Carena BF-35 AF a variant with autofocus.
The camera is equipped with a lens with a fixed focal length. The focal length is fixed and is 34 mm. The largest aperture available is f/3.5. The focus of the lens is fixed.
The camera comes with an exposure meter. Exposure settings are set automatically by the camera. A flash is built in shooting under low light or poor lighting conditions.
Films for the Carena BF-35
35mm films are still easy to get today and are developed by most photo laboratories. A great film choice for color photos is the Agfaphoto Vista 400* and for black and white pictures the Kodak TRI-X 400*.
The color film is processed in the C-41 development process. C-41 films can be developed by most photo laboratories.
The power supply comes from two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*).
The 35mm camera can nowadays only be bought in used condition. The used price of a copy of the 35mm camera depends on condition and functionality.
