The Carena 50 MF is a viewfinder camera. It was presented by Photo Porst in 90s. The camera was built in Taiwan and is made of plastic.
The camera comes with a fixed lens. 34 mm is the focal length of the lens. The largest aperture available at the camera is f/3.5. The focus of the lens is fixed. The minimum distance needed to the subject is 1 m.
In the Carena 50 MF an exposure meter was integrated. The aperture and shutter speed is set fully automatically by the 35mm camera and cannot be changed. There is a built-in flash for taking pictures in insufficient light.
Films for the Carena 50 MF
The Carena 50 MF requires 35mm films. The 35mm format is the most common film format. Therefore, some manufacturers still produce for this format. The Agfaphoto Vista 400* is a possible color film for the Carena 50 MF. Black and white images are with the Kodak T-Max 100* possible.
The color film is being developed in the C-41 process. The C-41 process is standardized and is offered by most development laboratories.
At this size, 36 images will fit on a 135-36 film. The film is automatically winded by the camera. The new price of the camera at that time was 100 DM-Mark. Today you should be happy if you get more than 5 US-Dollar for the camera.
The power supply is provided by two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*).

Hi, I also have a Carena 50 Mf camera, is it normal for the flash to not turn on when there is no film in it?
