The Revue 350 FM is a photo camera from the 1980s. It was sold by the German photo dealer Foto Quelle. The camera was produced by the Haking company in Hong Kong. A similar model was also released by Haking under the name Haking MW 35E.

It is not possible to change the lens of this device. It has a focal length of 38 mm and a maximum aperture of f/4.

Focus adjustment is manual, as the camera comes without an autofocus function. The shortest distance to the subject should be 100 cm. There is a zone autofocus with four settings: 1 metre, 1.5 metres, 3 metres and infinity.

The Revue 350 FM has an integrated metering cell for measuring exposure. It supports ISO values between 64 and 400. The automatic exposure setting controls both shutter speed and aperture, so there is no need for manual adjustment. The shutter speed remains constant, only the aperture varies.

An integrated flash facilitates photography in difficult lighting conditions. It can be activated via a button on the front.

The Revue 350 FM is equipped with a cable release connection and there is a tripod thread on the bottom. A strap can also be attached.

Two AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) power the camera. These are readily available and rechargeable versions are also available. One set of batteries will last for an extended period of use.

Film stock for the Revue 350 FM

The Revue 350 FM relies on 35mm film. These are still commercially available and can be developed easily in most specialist laboratories.

Recommended 35mm films for colour or black and white are Kodak Ultramax 400* and Ilford Delta 100*. According to tests, they deliver reliable results for various scenarios. Other well-known brands such as Lomography, Rollei, Fujifilm and Adox also offer suitable films.

The exposure format of the camera is 24 mm x 36 mm. With this format, 36 pictures can usually be taken on a standard film (135-36). The camera has a motorised film transport system that automatically pulls the film forward after each exposure and also takes care of the return transport.

An indicator on the top shows whether the film is being transported correctly. In addition, there is a counter for the pictures already shot.
