Fujifilm Instax Mini Sprinkles

Fujifilm Instax Mini Sprinkles is an instant film released as a creative “Special Edition.” This variant is based on the classic Fujifilm Instax Mini film. Fujifilm handles the film’s production and quality control directly, and it will remain available through 2026.

The distinctive feature of the Sprinkles edition is the visual design of the frame: instead of the classic white border, it is decorated with a playful, colorful sprinkle pattern. This vibrant design adds a cheerful touch to captured moments, making the film a popular choice for birthdays, parties, and photo journaling.

This instant film was developed specifically for the Instax Mini format. The overall dimensions of a single print are 86 x 54 mm—roughly the size of a credit card. The image area itself measures 62 x 46 mm, while the remaining space is taken up by the decorative frame. With an ISO 800 sensitivity rating, the film delivers clear images with vibrant colors and natural skin tones, even in varying lighting conditions. A glossy finish provides protection and clarity for everyday use.

The chemical development process begins as soon as the camera ejects the photo. Initially, the image area appears white, but contours begin to emerge within about 90 seconds, eventually revealing the finished picture.

A common myth suggests that shaking the photo accelerates development. However, this is a misconception; shaking does not shorten the development time and, in the worst-case scenario, can damage the emulsion layers.

For consistent results, the photo should be left to rest flat at room temperature. The emulsion is temperature-resistant and performs reliably within a range of 5°C to 40°C.

Film Format and Compatibility

The film can be used in cameras from the Fujifilm Instax Mini family, such as the Instax Mini 11, 12, or the hybrid Instax Mini Evo. It is also compatible with portable smartphone printers in the Instax series.

Furthermore, the film works with third-party cameras, including the Leica Sofort, select Lomography models, and the Polaroid 300. Each film cartridge contains ten instant photos, packaged to protect them from light, and can be easily inserted into the respective device.
