We recently tested Torras Coolify products. Torras also has other products on offer, primarily focusing on smartphones.
In this article, we will take a closer look at two power banks and a charger.
Torras MiniMag Power Bank
Our first impression of the Torras MiniMag Power Bank is its slim design. It takes up very little space in a bag or camera backpack, which is invaluable when traveling.
You can easily store it in a jacket pocket or even a trouser pocket without it being uncomfortable.
The aluminum alloy casing gives a high-quality and robust impression, similar to the feel of modern MacBooks.
In practical use, the MiniMag impresses with its well-thought-out design. As a MagSafe-compatible power bank, it magnetically attaches to the back of newer iPhones.
The magnetic force is strong enough to ensure a secure connection without the worry of accidentally losing the power bank.
A detail that speaks to the product’s quality is the second built-in magnet for vertical alignment, which prevents twisting. The charging surface has a special coating designed to prevent scratches on the smartphone.
The wireless charging performance is absolutely sufficient for quick top-ups on the go. For those in a hurry, the USB-C port can be used, offering higher charging speeds (18 W).
With a capacity of 5,000 mAh, it can charge an iPhone 15 about one and a half times, providing a reassuring energy reserve for most day trips or long photo tours.
Torras PebbleLink Power Bank
Another power bank from Torras is the PebbleLink. The focus here is on charging speed.
The PebbleLink supports Power Delivery up to 22.5 watts, allowing compatible devices to be charged significantly in a short time. You can quickly charge a few percent and continue using the device without the power bank needing to be constantly connected.
The design of the PebbleLink is functional and clever. The integrated USB-C cable is not only practical as you don’t need to carry a separate cable, but it also serves as a carrying loop. The cable itself is covered with a robust nylon material reminiscent of climbing ropes, promising high durability.
With a capacity of 10,000 mAh, it offers enough energy to charge a smartphone multiple times or power other devices like headphones or even a tablet.
In addition to the integrated cable, it has an additional USB-C port, allowing simultaneous charging of two devices.
Despite its higher capacity compared to the MiniMag, the PebbleLink remains surprisingly slim and light (170 grams). It is hardly thicker than a modern smartphone and thus also fits effortlessly into any bag.
The magnetic attachment capability, although not used for charging, is a nice addition to fix the power bank to the smartphone during wired charging and prevent it from slipping.
Torras FlexLine Fast Charger 67 W
An often underestimated aspect of mobile power supply is the charger itself. Especially on international trips, one often faces the problem of different socket formats.
The Torras FlexLine Fast Charger with 67 watts of charging power is an interesting companion for globetrotters, even though there is a significant limitation for European users. The FlexLine is currently not available in a version with a Euro plug.
I used it on my trip to Japan, where it proved to be extremely useful. Of course, you can also use it in the USA and other countries with corresponding socket systems.
The outstanding feature of the FlexLine is its compactness and the integrated, retractable USB-C cable. This concept almost completely eliminates cable clutter in luggage. The charger is hardly larger than other chargers with this power and is excellently packable due to the foldable plug and the cable that disappears flush into the housing.
The cable can be extended to a comfortable length and locks in the desired position. After use, you pull it briefly, and it retracts automatically. A magnet ensures that the plug at the end cleanly attaches to the housing.
The cable might be about 50 centimeters too short for some application scenarios, but for charging on a desk or bedside table, the length is usually sufficient.
With 67 watts of power, the charger is powerful enough not only to quickly charge a smartphone or a power bank but also to supply power to more demanding devices like a MacBook Air or other notebooks.
An additional USB-C port allows simultaneous charging of a second device. You can also use a longer cable here.
A Recommendation?
As with the Coolifys, Torras delivers solid products here as well.
If you are looking for a power bank, I can only recommend these power banks. I was personally particularly fond of the PebbleLink.
The fast charger is also solid. A version with a Euro plug would of course be nice.
