The SPUR DSX is a black and white film. It is a document film, so it is a type of film that should not be used simply for quick snapshots. The material is based on the Agfa Copex Rapid.
The SPUR DSX in combination with a suitable camera makes it possible to create monochrome images. It is an orthopanchromatic B/W film. The film can be pushed to ISO 50, puddling is possible up to ISO 25.
The silver halide film has an A.H.U. antihalation layer with a thickness of 5 µ. With an RMS value of 1.0, it is characterized by its low graininess. The resolving power reaches 600 LP/mm with a contrast ratio of 1000:1.
Development of the film
The DSX must be developed in a developer for black and white films. The development can take place in a photo lab. You have more control over the result if you develop the film yourself. SPUR Dokuspeed SL is recommended for development.
Formats
The SPUR DSX is made up for medium format and 35 mm cameras. So you can use it in cameras for the two formats. It is advisable to use a tripod, especially if you expose it to a low sensitivity.
