The Silberra Color 100 is a colour negative film. It is sold by the Russian supplier from Saint Petersburg. The film material comes from another film manufacturer. The film is no longer in production. The edition was limited by the Russian dealer from 2000 pieces.
The Color 100 is designed for colour photography. ISO 100 is the specified sensitivity of the material. With this sensitivity it should be used outdoors, at least in a place with enough light. The results of the color film should remind of the Adox Color Implosion.
Development of the film
After the film is full, it must be developed. To do this it must be processed in the C-41 process. The C-41 development process is standardized, unlike the development of black and white films.
Availability and Alternatives
The Color 100 was only made for 35mm cameras. Normally 36 pictures fit on one roll of film. The price via the online shop of the manufacturer was for one roll at 10 US dollars
The producer of the film has stopped production. For 35mm cameras, a replacement for the film would be Kodak Gold 200*. For medium format, the Kodak Ektar 100* would be an alternative. Even if you can’t directly reproduce the results of this color film with both films.
