The Revue 130C camera model comes from the German photo retailer Foto Quelle from Nuremberg. This simple device for 35mm photography probably comes from the Asian manufacturer Haking. The Hong Kong company produced similar models in the early 1990s. Of course, this cannot be answered unequivocally. There is no country of manufacture information on the body of the camera.

On the underside, however, is the imprint “U.S. Patent no. 4, 595, 269”. Patent number “US4595269A” describes a “Camera double exposure prevention system” and was filed in 1984 by W Haking Enterprises Ltd and inventor Wai C. Wong.

Your fixed lens has a focal length of 33 mm and is not interchangeable. Focus adjustment is not possible with this camera. A sliding cover protects the lens.

The Revue 130C does not have an integrated exposure meter. Nevertheless, the film sensitivity can be adjusted using a controller on the front. These include ISO 100/200, ISO 400 and ISO 1000. The aperture changes depending on the selected ISO value, while the shutter speed is always around 1/125 second.

There is a built-in flash for shooting in difficult lighting conditions. This can be activated via a switch underneath.

Two AAA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) ensure operation. These batteries are mainly required for the flash. Without using flash, they are not absolutely necessary.

Features such as a tripod thread, a self-timer or a date stamp are missing on this camera.

Film recommendations for the Revue 130C

The Revue 130C uses 35mm film. These films are still popular and can be processed in many photo labs.

A suitable color film would be the Kodak Gold 200*. The Ilford Delta 400* is suitable for monochrome images. Other manufacturers of 35mm films are Foma, Adox and Rollei.

The C-41 process is used to develop the color film. Many service providers offer this process. Black and white films can be processed either in specialized laboratories or at home with the necessary equipment. Instructions for this are available online.

The image format is 24mm x 36mm. A typical roll of film allows for around 36 exposures. To continue shooting, the film must be advanced manually. The film is rewound manually using a knob and crank on the camera body.
