The Revue 100 C is a viewfinder camera. It was distributed by Foto Quelle in West Germany. The model was probably built by King KG from Bad Liebenzell. It is very similar to the King Regula Picca C in functionality. The new price in the 70s was around 60 German mark.
The lens of the Revue 100 C cannot be exchanged. The name of the lens is “Color-Isconar 40mm f/2.8”. The focal length is 40 mm and the largest aperture of the lens is f/2.8. The focus of the lens must be adjusted manually. There is no autofocus system.
The exposure must be measured externally. The 35 mm camera does not have an exposure meter. The Selenium Meter window has no function.
The camera comes with a bulb setting option. This can only be used with a cable release. To prevent camera shake, the camera can be mounted on a tripod. An external flash can be connected via Hot Shoe.
Batteries are not required for photography.
Films for the Revue 100 C
The Revue 100 C is designed for the 35mm format. 35mm films are still produced by different producers. A nice film for color prints is the Fujifilm Superia 400* and for black-and-white shots of the Kodak T-Max 400*.
The colour film is a colour negative film and must be developed in the C-41 process. C-41 films can be developed by most photo laboratories.
The exposure area of the Revue 100 C is 24 mm x 36 mm big. At this size, 36 images will fit on a 135-36 film. For the next frame of the film the camera has to be winded manually.
