The Presto Print Kleurenfilm 100 represents a color negative film that was distributed under the brand name Presto. The film material in the box was produced by a well-known film manufacturer.

The Presto Print Kleurenfilm 100 is used to create traditional color photographs. The film speed is specified at an ISO of 100, which is great for everyday shots and vacation pictures.

Film processing

Nowadays, if you come across a roll of film, you need to have it developed in the C-41 process in order to view the photos. For development, the film can easily be given to a photo lab. Unlike black-and-white films, the development process of color films is standardized.

In Germany, large drugstore chains allow the development of Color 100 film. After successful development, the customer receives the developed film strips with his photographs.

Afterwards, the finished negatives can either be scanned and printed out or prints can be made directly. Numerous professional photo labs offer different sizes of prints (photo prints) as an option during development.

Digitizing negatives

In order to use the images from the film strips digitally, it is advisable to digitize them with a scanner. In this area, there are many devices for converting negatives and other film formats, which differ in terms of functions and prices. After digitizing the photographs, they can either be further processed digitally or used as a printed version.

Availability and alternatives

Presto Print Kleurenfilm 100 was available exclusively as 35mm film and was not available for medium format cameras.

The film cartridge of the 35mm film had a DX code. Many cameras can read this and set the film speed automatically.

Suitable cameras for 35mm format are offered by manufacturers such as Zenit, Olympus, Rollei or Porst. However, there are also other cameras that are suitable for the use of 35mm film.

Since color film is no longer manufactured or offered by photo retailers, Kodak Gold 200* can serve as a substitute for 35mm format. This film provides reliable results and is still available.
