Wishlist for Photographers 2013

What nice things are there for photographers this Christmas? What do I give a photographer in terms of analog cameras and films?

Christmas is coming closer, so it's time to think about gifts. Christmas is the festival of love, so why not give a little analog love. That's why we have put together a small (wish) list of great things for you; the list also gives a brief review of the year 2013.

Of course, you can also add the following items to your own wish list or give them to yourself. But it can't hurt to spread the analog virus a bit this way.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 90- Review

Fujifilm Instax Mini 90

Not only at the Christmas party or on Christmas days does the Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic bring a lot of fun. With the long exposure mode, night shots or light painting shots are possible. It is also the first Instax camera from Fujifilm with which you can easily do double exposures.

The Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic* also looks really great.
We recently tested it and can only recommend it to you.

If you want to spend a little less, the Instax Mini 8, which we also tested, would be a good option. Don't forget the appropriate Instax Mini films* so that there are no disappointments on Christmas Eve.

Wittner Chrome 200D

A film that we really liked this year is the Wittner Chrome 200D. The slide film for 35mm cameras delivers very nice results with a great look. In addition, the Wittner Chrome 200D is a real bargain for slide films.

Fujifilm Provia 400X

If you need a slide film with a higher sensitivity, the Provia 400X from Fujifilm would be a good choice. Unfortunately, production of the excellent slide film has been discontinued.

You should wish for a few more rolls of Provia 400X for your 35mm* or medium format camera*; it will probably not be available for much longer.

Fujifilm FP3000B

This monochrome instant film will probably soon be gone; Fujifilm plans to discontinue production. So it can't hurt to wish for a few more packs of Fujifilm FP3000B* for Christmas, so you can still shoot with black and white film in 2014.

Cinestill 800 Tungsten 35mm - Review

Cinestill 800 Tungsten

This color negative film is a rather exotic material. It was also introduced in 2013 and is based on a film for Kodak motion picture production.

The Cinestill 800T is designed for shots under artificial light, so it's perfect for pictures under the Christmas tree. More about it can be found here or in our review of the Cinestill 800T.

Other Ideas

How about the classic Lomo camera, the Lomo LC-A+*?

Or just some food* for the existing cameras?

Or some camera cookie cutters* or a different film roll.
