Porst 126 Sport

The Porst 126 Sport is a viewfinder camera. It was sold by Photo Porst in the 70s. It was produced in Singapore. The same model was sold under the name “Carena 126 Sport”.

The Porst 126 Sport is a simple plastic camera for the 126-cassette format. It is made of black plastic.

The Porst 126 Sport is a camera with a fixed lens and therefore does not offer the possibility to change the lens. The lens is named Porst Special and has a fixed focal length of 38 mm and a widest aperture of f/8.

However, it is not possible to focus the lens manually or use an autofocus function. The closest focusing distance is 1.5 meters, which means that objects closer than 1.5 meters cannot be focused. There are only two aperture settings.

Films for the Porst 126 Sport

The Porst 126 Sport is designed for the 126-cassette format. Unfortunately, no films are made for this format. There is no alternative or substitute.

The negatives of the camera are 28 x 28 mm. The film in the camera must be rewound manually, as there is no automatic film transport.

The dimensions of the Porst 126 Sport are 11 x 7 x 4.8 cm. The Porst 126 Sport is no longer in production. The state of preservation and the functionality decide the price of the camera. However, you won’t get more than a few euros for the cameras today.
