The Polaroid Originals OneStep 2 is an instant camera. It was introduced in 2017 by Polaroid Originals. The design and name are based on the original Polaroid OneStep. The housing is made of polycarbonate and ABS plastic.
A similar model is the OneStep+, but it differs in a few points. For example, it has a built-in Bluetooth receiver that allows control via app.
The camera has a permanently installed lens. The lens is made of polycarbonate. 106 mm is the focal length of the lens. There is no possibility to change the focus. The closest focusing distance is 60 cm. Correct macro shots are therefore not possible with the camera.
The Polaroid Originals OneStep 2 has a built-in light meter. The Polaroid Originals OneStep 2 can automatically set the aperture and exposure time. The exposure can be slightly changed by exposure compensation.
There is a built-in flash for shooting in low light. There is also a thread for a tripod and a self-timer.
The camera weighs 460 grams according to the manual. The dimensions are 15 x 11 x 9.5 cm. Power is supplied by a built-in rechargeable battery. The battery is charged via USB. According to the manufacturer the capacity is sufficient for up to 60 days.
In the scope of delivery, besides the camera, there is also a camera strap and the USB cable for charging the battery.
Films for the Polaroid Originals OneStep 2
Unlike the old Polaroid OneStep, the instant camera exposes other instant image formats. It can be used with the i-Type films or the type 600 films. In general it makes sense to prefer the i-Type films. These have no battery in the film cassette, which is not needed due to the built-in battery, and are therefore cheaper.
The film for color images is the Polaroid Color Film for i-Type*. For black and white images there is the Polaroid B&W Film for i-Type*. There are eight images in one package.
Other models
The Polaroid Originals OneStep 2 is available in different versions. It is available in black and white housing color. But there are also other (“limited”) editions.
