The Olympus Zuiko Auto-Macro 50mm f/3.5 is a lens. The production facility was located in Japan. It was the first 50mm macro lens for the OM system.
The focal length of the fixed focal length is 50 mm. It is a member of the group of normal lenses with macro function. The maximum wide aperture of the lens is specified as f/3.5. When closed, the aperture is f/22.
The focus of this model is set manually. The minimum distance to the subject must be 23 cm. The reproduction scale is 1:2, but with a bellows, a scale of 1:1 can also be achieved with the macro lens.
The lens comes with an Olympus OM mount. It can be used on the OM series of SLR cameras. If you don’t want to use or don’t have a film camera, it is also possible to use it on a modern digital camera. For various manufacturers, like Canon, there are adapters to use the old lenses.
The five lens elements of the Olympus Zuiko Auto-Macro 50mm f/3.5 are arranged in four groups. A filter lens, such as a UV filter, can be attached to the 49mm thread. A lens hood is not necessary, as the front lens is set very low in the body. The weight specification for the lens is 200 grams.
