The Olympus AF 28-85mm f/3.5-4.5 is an autofocus from the supplier Olympus. It was produced until the 1990s. It is part of a series of autofocus lenses for certain SLR cameras.
The Olympus AF 28-85mm f/3.5-4.5 is a zoom lens. It can boast a 3x zoom. The zoom goes from 28mm to 85mm. The aperture at one end is f/3.5, at the telephoto end it is f/4.5. The minimum distance to the subject must be 60 cm in close focus mode.
This specimen is an electronically controlled autofocus lens. Aperture and focus are set by the camera electronics and cannot be changed manually on the lens itself, as is the case with many others. Therefore, it can only be used with two models in the OM series, the OM-707 (OM-77 AF) and OM-101 PF (OM-88). It is not possible to use it on other models in the OM series or modern digital cameras because of the very lack of control options.
The zoom lens is constructed of fourteen elements in 11 groups. Filters can be screwed onto the 55 mm thread. According to the manual, the weight is 480 grams. The construction length is specified with 8.4 cm.
