Lomo’Instant Wide White

The Lomo’Instant Wide White is an edition of the Lomography Lomo’Instant Wide. It was introduced in October 2015 and is, as the name suggests, in white. The rest is identical to the other Lomo’Instant Wide editions.

Exposed in the Lomo’Instant Wide White is a Fujifilm Instax Wide Film*. Four AA batteries (eBay / Amazon*) are also needed for the required power.

Features of the camera

The camera has a focal length of 90mm and a maximum aperture of f/8, which allows for a good depth of field. Additionally, various attachment lenses can be used with the instant camera.

The camera’s focus is manually adjustable and is done via a zone focus. There are three focus zones, ranging from 0.6m to 1m, 1m to 2m, and 2m to infinity. The camera’s close focus distance is 60 cm or 1,968 ft.

The camera’s shutter speeds range from 1/250 sec to 8 sec, and there is a Bulb mode that allows for longer exposure times. A light meter is also present and exposure can be set automatically. There is also an exposure compensation function that allows for ± 1EV exposure compensation.

The Lomo’Instant Wide White has a built-in flash with a flash sync speed of 1/250 sec. A tripod socket is provided, but there is no cable release socket or self-timer. The built-in flash and tripod socket provide additional options for lighting and stabilizing the camera. However, it lacks cable release and self-timer threads, which could be a drawback for some photographers.

The Lomo’Instant Wide White is manufactured in China. China is one of the largest manufacturing countries in the world and has a long history of producing cameras and other optical equipment. Many camera manufacturers, besides Lomography, produce in China.
